Meet Luna, a darling one and a half year-old Labrador/Australian Shepherd mix available for adoption at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter! Look at those eyes … you could just get lost in those sweet and soulful eyes that just beg to find her forever home! She was a Vet Tech girl when she first came to the shelter many months ago and while her previous owner loved her, she didn’t have the balance to feel comfortable walking Luna and playing with her like she deserved. The owner also stated that Luna didn’t necessarily care for the other dog she ended up adopting, a Chihuahua, so either Luna should be an only dog or she would need a thorough meet-and-greet with any other dogs in the home. Are you ready to shoot for the stars with Luna and give her a real forever home? Anyone interested in Luna, please check the link above for hours of operation and adoption requirements (meet and greets are a must!). Once your application has been approved, you get to take Luna home that day! Any additional questions, please email Chris Browder at cbrowder@cityofshelbyvillein.com or call at (317) 392-5127.
Luna is …
– a sweet, wannabe lap dog who would love a home with a large yard for playtime!
– in need of patience and some training from her future forever family (she IS still a puppy!).
– great with kids and cats, but would need a meet-and-greet with any other dogs in the home due to the fact that she didn’t get along with her previous owner’s Chihuahua.
– housebroken.
– spayed.
– microchipped.
– up-to-date on her vaccinations, wormed and heartworm negative.
– FREE to her loving, forever home!
*Please be sure check out other long-term shelter residents (Bear, Kiki, Macy, Lucy and Onyx) to find your forever friend!*
