Meet Onyx, a happy two year-old Black Lab/Pit Bull mix available for adoption at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter! This gentle giant is 80 pounds of a mix of strong, goofy and sweet and he’s more than ready for his forever home! He was brought in as a stray with his girlfriend, Opal, and while Opal was adopted, poor Onyx is still patiently waiting for someone to come in and say, “That’s my dog!” He’s strong on a leash and will need a family who can take the time to teach him some gentlemanly manners, but he’s young and willing to learn! Anyone interested in Onyx, please check the link above for hours of operation and adoption requirements (meet and greets are a must!). Once your application has been approved, you get to take Onyx home that day! Any additional questions, please email Chris Browder at firstname.lastname@example.org or call at (317) 392-5127.
Onyx is …
– a happy and goofy boy, but strong on a leash and needs some pointers on manners.
– great with children and was great with Opal, his fellow canine stray.
– up-to-date on vaccinations, has been wormed and is heartworm negative.
– FREE to his future forever home!
*Please check out my post on fellow long-time residents, Kiki and Bear, who are also still looking for their forever homes. And I strongly encourage you to look at my feature on this shelter, it’s really an amazing place to find your next furry family member!*
