Meet Bear, a handsome six year-old Mastiff/Pit Bull mix available for adoption at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter! This sweetheart was surrendered back in September with his best friend, Roxy, and although they were both adopted, Bear was brought back last month. He’s a truly wonderful dog, he’s just having a hard time finding a perfect home because he needs to be the only pet in the household. He also tends to get nervous with loud noises due to the fact that his previous owner lived next to fairgrounds where fireworks were set off frequently. When you visit his kennel, he tries to not let you leave because he’s so lonely and wants to find his special person! But age is just a number to this older gentleman and he still has plenty of energy and loves a good walk. Bear deserves to be loved, cherished and spoiled, I’m sure there’s someone out there who has a Bear-sized spot on the couch ready for some doggy snuggles (he’s only 50 pounds, c’mon people)! Anyone interested in Bear, please check the link above for hours of operation and adoption requirements (meet and greets are a must!). Once your application has been approved, you get to take Bear home that day! Any additional questions, please email Chris Browder at firstname.lastname@example.org or call at (317) 392-5127.
Bear is …
– very lonely and ready to be loved and spoiled by his future forever family.
– not good with other animals, so he absolutely needs to be the ONLY pet in the home.
– up-to-date on vaccinations, has been wormed and is heartworm negative.
– FREE to his future forever home!
