Meet Macy, a sweet and loving two year-old Lab/Terrier mix available for adoption at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter! Macy was first brought to the shelter back in April of 2018 as a stray with her best friend, fellow stray, Floyd. She was deeply bonded with Floyd, but both were adopted to separate homes after being fully vetted and Macy’s health issues were addressed. Fast forward to now and Macy is back after her Min Pin canine sibling decided it was awfully jealous of Macy’s sweet personality and gentle demeanor (and mostly the attention she was taking away from it). So now Miss Macy is looking for her true forever home through no fault of her own! Although she still has the occasional accident, she’s 90% housebroken and great with all other animals, loves people and is fully vetted … can you give Macy the forever home she needs and deserves? Anyone interested in Macy, please check the link above for hours of operation and adoption requirements (meet and greets are a must, especially if there are any other pets in the home!). Once your application has been approved, you get to take Macy home that day! Any additional questions, please email Chris Browder at cbrowder@cityofshelbyvillein.com or call at (317) 392-5127.
