Meet Clyde! *UPDATE: ADOPTED!!!*

Meet Clyde, a loving Labrador mix available for adoption at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter! Poor Clyde (and his lady love, Bonnie) was a victim of abandonment and neglect from his former owner, who brought the two in on the false pretense that they were found as strays. This unnamed individual finally admitted that the dogs belonged to her, but refused to provide any additional information (names, ages, medical history, etc.) and wouldn’t return phone calls. When she was finally caught in her lie, she offered to take the dogs back … I don’t think so, lady! Don’t you think that someone who essentially throws their dogs away shouldn’t be allowed to have them back (or adopt in the future)? Bonnie was fortunate to find her forever home, but darling Clyde is still waiting for someone to see him and fall in love. He’s gentle on a leash, good with children and other dogs, and a total sweetheart with so much love to give … this precious boy is more than ready and deserving of a loving forever home! Clyde’s adoption fee is $30, which covers his Home Again microchip, registration, booster vaccinations and wormer. Anyone interested in Clyde, please check the link above for hours of operation and adoption requirements (meet and greets are a must!). Once your application has been approved, you get to take Clyde home that day!  Any additional questions, please email Chris Browder at cbrowder@cityofshelbyvillein.com or call at (317) 392-5127.

Clyde is …
– a very sweet and gentle boy who has great leash skills (despite his past of abandonment and neglect).
– great with children and other dogs.
– housebroken.
– neutered.

*Please be sure check out other long-term shelter residents (MacyLucyOnyx and Kiki) to find your forever friend!*
