Meet Mia, a playful one year-old Labrador mix available for adoption at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter! Mia and her brother, Rolly, were surrendered by their owner when they moved into a place that did not allow pets, but these two do not need to be adopted together. Mia bossed around Rolly a bit (she would play pretty rough with him) and Rolly would gobble up every bit of his food so that she couldn’t take it. She’s lived with cats and kids and does great with cats, but would do best in a home without kids or other dogs. Mia is a sweet girl and definitely deserves her forever home … are you Mia’s forever family? Mia’s adoption fee is $95, which covers her spay surgery, rabies/booster vaccinations, wormer, Home Again microchip and registration. Anyone interested in Mia, please check the link above for hours of operation and adoption requirements (meet and greets are a must!). Once your application has been approved, you get to take Mia home that day! Any additional questions, please email Chris Browder at cbrowder@cityofshelbyvillein.com or call at (317) 392-5127.
Mia is …
– a playful girl who can get a bit rough with her playmates, so she would do best as the only dog in the home.
– good with cats, but best in a home without small children.
– mostly housebroken.

*Please be sure check out other long-term shelter residents (Macy, Lucy, Onyx and Kiki) to find your forever friend!*
