Meet Charlie! *200th Adoptable Posted!* *UPDATE: ADOPTED!!!*

Meet Charlie, an energetic and happy-go-lucky Pit Bull available for adoption at the
Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter! This isn’t Charlie’s first rodeo at a shelter (including this one), and it’s been determined that Charlie is far from a bad dog, just that he needs to be the only pet in the home! His previous home was great and the meet-and-greet with his sister Pittie went fabulous, so a happily-ever-after followed, right? Well … months passed and it turned out that Charlie would get a bit jealous with his sister would get attention (I guess he just wants it all for himself!). He’s fine with older children, he’s just a strong and energetic boy, especially on a leash, and would be best in a home with older children that can handle all that happiness! Are you the forever family that can lavish this big ol’ happy boy with all the attention he can possibly handle? Anyone interested in Charlie, please check the link above for hours of operation and adoption requirements (meet and greets are a must!). Once your application has been approved, you get to take Charlie home that day! Any additional questions, please email Chris Browder at cbrowder@cityofshelbyvillein.com or call at (317) 392-5127.

Charlie is …
– happy, energetic and very strong, especially on a leash!
– good with older children, but MUST be the only pet in the home!
– housetrained.
– neutered.
– microchipped.
– up-to-date on his vaccinations, wormed and heartworm negative.
– FREE to his loving, forever home!

*Please check out my posts on fellow long-term residents BearOnyx and Kiki who are also still looking for their forever homes. And I strongly encourage you to look at my feature on this shelter, it’s really an amazing place to find your next furry family member!*
