Meet Drake, a sweet seven year-old Great Dane available for adoption at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter! Poor Drake was found wandering the countryside of Shelby County, neutered, microchipped and as friendly as can be and the shelter staff thought, “Wonderful! We’ll just call his owner and Drake can go home today!” Not so fast. His original owner said she didn’t want him and was in line at Indianapolis Animal Control to relinquish him when another family came up to her and said they would take him, but evidently they dumped him after claiming they would love and care for him. Obviously, Drake deserves a true and loving FOREVER home, not an only-when-it’s-convenient home … can you fill the void and be Drake’s forever family? Anyone interested in Drake, please check the link above for hours of operation and adoption requirements (meet and greets are a must!). Once your application has been approved, you get to take Drake home that day! Any additional questions, please email Chris Browder at firstname.lastname@example.org or call at (317) 392-5127.
Drake is …
– a very sweet and loving boy who enjoys the attention of his people!
– wonderful with children and other dogs.
*Please check out my posts on fellow long-term residents Bear, Onyx and Kiki who are also still looking for their forever homes. And I strongly encourage you to look at my feature on this shelter, it’s really an amazing place to find your next furry family member!*
