Meet Zara, a tail-waggingly happy one and a half year-old female Pit Bull mix available for adoption at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter! Although she was fortunate enough to start her life out at the Shelbyville shelter as a three month-old, poor Zara has had one pitfall (no pun intended) after another, from a previous owner getting repeatedly arrested to being left out on the streets to being dumped on an undeserving roommate. And yet look at that happy smile, bright eyes and wagging tail! Zara is the perfect example of the loving and forgiving nature of a dog … she has received some of the worst human nature has had to offer and yet she still hopes for the best! She loves playing tug-of-war, is good with children, cats, other dogs, and is house-trained … so she’s basically chock full of awesome! Are you the person who deserves to be her forever family? Anyone interested in Zara, please check the link above for hours of operation and adoption requirements (meet and greets are a must, especially if there are any other pets in the home!). Once your application has been approved, you get to take Zara home that day! Any additional questions, please email Chris Browder firstname.lastname@example.org or call at (317) 392-5127.
Zara is …
… awesome in every way! She’s a happy girl who loves to play tug-of-war and doesn’t let a ruff past keep her down!
– wonderful with older children (10 and older would be best), cats and other dogs.
– up-to-date on her vaccinations, wormed and heartworm negative.
– FREE to her forever, loving home!
*Please check out my posts on fellow long-term residents Bear, Onyx and Kiki who are also still looking for their forever homes. And I strongly encourage you to look at my feature on this shelter, it’s really an amazing place to find your next furry family member!*
