Meet Chubb, a happy and handsome five year-old tuxedo cat available for adoption at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter! Chubb was found as a stray back in January and a Good Samaritan let him in off the street to sleep in her home. She said he seemed like he’d had a rough go of it and was pretty beaten up, so Chubb was brought in to the shelter and the good people of Vet Tech gave him a thorough check-up … good thing, too! Chubb had some irregular bloodwork and although he tested negative for FeLV, he was FIV positive. This sweet boy is now neutered, wormed, microchipped and current on rabies and vaccines AND had a dental … he is totally polished, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed! He gets along great with children and other kitties, but because he is FIV-positive he will have to go to home with other FIV-positive kitties ONLY. Do you have the heart and home for this very special boy? Anyone interested in Chubb, please check the link above for hours of operation and adoption requirements (meet and greets are a must, especially if there are other pets in the home!). Once your application has been approved, you get to take Chubb home that day!  Any additional questions, please email Chris Browder at or call at (317) 392-5127.

Chubb is …
– very sweet and chill, but needs and inside home … he’s had enough of rough and tough life on the streets!
– good with children and other cats, but due to being FIV-positive, MUST be in a home with only other FIV-positive cats.
– litter-box trained.
– neutered.
– microchipped.
– up-to-date on his vaccinations and wormed.
– FREE to his loving, forever home!

Chubb is special needs because …
– he is FIV-positive.
