Meet Hoodie! *UPDATE: ADOPTED!!!*

Meet Houdini (aka Hoodie), a sweet five year-old Labrador/Pit Bull mix available for adoption at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter! She’s been so sad at the shelter, feeling unwanted and keeping her tail tucked between her legs unless one of the volunteers comes to take her for a walk … all she wants is to find her forever home for Easter (I mean, seriously, look at those eyes, don’t they beg for love?). Hoodie’s mom was adopted from the shelter five years ago and (surprise!) she was pregnant! Her owner was hoping to keep mom and the two daughters together, but Hoodie (like a lot of girls) didn’t see eye-to-eye with Mom OR sister, so she was surrendered to the shelter in order to find the perfect forever home. Hoodie can be pretty shy, but she’s very loving to her people once she warms up and has been known to jump baby gates to see what’s going on and be with her family. Miss Houdini would be best as an only pet, but that just means she wants all the love for herself … is your home perfect to love her forever? Anyone interested in Hoodie, please check the link above for hours of operation and adoption requirements (meet and greets are a must!). Her adoption fee is $30, which covers her Home Again microchip and registration … once your application has been approved, you get to take Hoodie home that day! Any additional questions, please email Chris Browder at cbrowder@cityofshelbyvillein.com or call at (317) 392-5127.

Hoodie is …
– shy, but warms up when she gets to know you … and she’s a perfect angel when boarded!
– best as an only pet.
– housebroken.
– spayed.

*Please check out my post on fellow residents BearOnyx and Kiki who are also still looking for their forever homes. And I strongly encourage you to look at my featureon this shelter, it’s really an amazing place to find your next furry family member!*
