Meet Bella, a big and beautiful nine month-old mixed breed girl available for adoption at the Rushville Animal Shelter! Even though she’s less than a year old, she already weighs 70 pounds … but it’s 70 pounds of love and she’s so calm and relaxed you’d have no idea she was still a puppy! She gets a little nervous and can be a scaredy cat when it comes to new things, but as long as she has someone she loves by her side, she recovers quickly and regains her courage. Although Bella doesn’t mind other dogs, she has no interest in being buddies and would do best as the only dog in the home (though she’s been fine with cats). Her favorite activities are snuggling and going on walks (and her leash manners are superb!) … as long as she’s with her people, she’s in her happy place. When you look in those big, beautiful eyes, do you see a forever friend to walk by your side? If you’re interested in adopting Bella, please contact the Rushville Animal Shelter at (765) 932-4754 (check the shelter website for hours of operation). Rushville Animal Shelter allows a three day home trial to make sure you and your pet are the right fit for each other. Bella’s adoption fee is $40 and it’s an additional $35 for her spay and rabies (spay and rabies will be scheduled and microchipping will be done at the time of adoption).
Bella is …
– a big ol’ sweetheart who loves walks, cuddling and snuggling with her people, but can be nervous when experiencing new things and will need a family who will be patient with and reassure her.
– best as the only dog and in a home with older, considerate children, but does fine with cats.
– housebroken.
– up-to-date on distemper/parvo vaccine, has been dewormed, flea treated, heartworm tested (negative) and started on flea preventative.
*NOTE: Bella is not spayed, but her adopter will have the chance to get her spayed through their vet of choice or through the shelter within 30 days, they provide transportation. Also, her adopter has the chance to take their adoption contract to the Rushville Tractor Supply for a free bag of dog food!*
