Meet Daisy Mae, a playful eight month-old Saint Bernard/American Pit Bull Terrier mix available at the Johnson County Animal Shelter! Daisy Mae was surrendered to the shelter because her previous owners were moving, so she is there through no fault of her own! She was in the process of being housetrained, but still needs some time and patience to be 100% housebroken. Daisy Mae is quite the snuggle bug who loves to explore and sniff her surroundings and is currently discovering that toys are totally amazing! This sweet girl was very nervous and shy when she first came to the shelter and it will take her forever family a little bit of time to earn her trust, but once she warms up you’ll have a couch buddy for life! Daisy Mae will also need an active forever family who can help her learn manners and give her the chance to run off all of that amazing energy. All adoptions are done with approved applicants by appointment only and once you fill out the adoption application, the shelter will contact you to set up an appointment and meet the pet. Daisy Mae’s adoption fee is $150, which covers her vaccinations, spay surgery and microchip registration.
