Meet Max, a handsome four year-old Pit Bull mix available for adoption at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter! Max first met the loving shelter staff back in June of 2016 when he was found abandoned by his previous owner in the basement apartment of a rental home. He was adopted only two months later and all was well for the last few years, but he was recently returned due to the fact that he’s not good with their young children. Thankfully, this friendly boy has been neutered and microchipped and is FREE to his future forever home! He would also do best as the only pet and in a home without children (or at least in a home with older children). Are you in the market for a strong and happy boy to make your family complete? Anyone interested in Max, please check the link above for hours of operation and adoption requirements (meet and greets are a must!). Once your application has been approved, you get to take Max home that day! Any additional questions, please email Chris Browder at cbrowder@cityofshelbyvillein.com or call at (317) 392-5127.
Max is …
– a sweet, calm boy who’s as strong as an ox on a leash (so he’ll need a strong family!).
– best as the only pet in the home and in a home without children at all (or older children ONLY).
– housebroken.
– neutered.
– microchipped.
– up-to-date on his vaccinations (except rabies) and is wormed.
– FREE to his loving, forever home!
*Please be sure check out other long-term shelter residents, Onyx and Kiki, to find your forever friend!*
