Meet Casper, a sweet and social 12 year-old available for adoption at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter! Staff first met Casper back in August of 2007 when he was picked up as a stray kitten and this darling boy was adopted to what everyone thought was his forever home. Fast forward to last week and Casper was relinquished with his buddy, Digby, for reasons unknown and while Digby was quickly adopted, this sweetheart was left at the shelter to wonder why, after 12 wonderful years, he was back where his story began. He’s such a wonderful boy and still has so much love to give … he wasn’t ready to be back in a shelter after giving his love and trust to someone for so long. Age is just a number to Casper, he’s super social and can charm just about anyone … do you have room in your heart and home for this adorable senior kitty? Anyone interested in Casper, please check the link above for hours of operation and adoption requirements (meet and greets are a must, especially if you have other pets in the home!). Once your application has been approved, you get to take Casper home that day! Any additional questions, please email Chris Browder at firstname.lastname@example.org or call at (317) 392-5127.
Casper is …
– a sweet and social senior who more than deserves a loving, forever home in his golden years.
– wonderful with children and other cats.
– litter-box trained.
– up-to-date on his vaccinations and wormed.
– FREE to his loving, forever home!
*UPDATE: Unbeknownst to the shelter, Casper was brought in with a terminal illness and, unfortunately, had to be humanely euthanized. God Bless Casper.*
