Meet Runt, a gorgeous three year-old tortoiseshell female available for adoption at the
Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter! Runt was relinquished with 11 other cats and was about ready to pop with a litter of kittens. The shelter was informed that she had already given birth to several other litters of kittens and they had all died, so these would probably die, too … but fast forward several days and five healthy kittens were born and survived! Three were adopted and two (Romeo and Juliet) are going to be ready to find their own forever homes! Runt has been a bit stressed lately, but responds well to having her head rubbed and ears scratched and she’s wonderful with children and does great with other cats. Don’t you want to take this sweet little mama home with you? Runt’s adoption fee is $30, which covers her spay surgery, rabies/booster vaccinations and wormer. Anyone interested in Runt, please check the link above for hours of operation and adoption requirements (meet and greets are a must, especially if there are other pets in the home!).
