Meet Birch, a shy and sweet one year-old Plott Hound pup available for adoption at the
Madison County Humane Society! Poor Birch was dumped in the middle of nowhere and was evidently out running for awhile because when he was found he was very thin, covered in ticks and full of worms … isn’t that awful? Why wouldn’t someone just bring him into the Humane Society where he would have food and shelter?! But now Birch has a clean bill of health, a wagging tail and is absolutely ready to find his forever family! He’s an absolute sweetheart, adores people, does well with other dogs and doesn’t seem to mind cats, but meet-and-greets with any other pets in the home is strongly recommended. Are you the forever family that Birch so very much deserves? If you’re interested in Birch, please fill out the adoption application on the shelter’s website and email it to madisoncohumanesoc@sbcglobal.net and/or call (765) 644-6484 with any questions. Meet-and-greets with both human and other animal family members are scheduled AFTER your application has been approved (please check the link above for the shelter’s hours of operations); adoptions are not made on a “first come, first serve” basis, but instead attempts are made to make the best fit for both the family AND the animal! Birch’s adoption fee is $125 and includes neuter, vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test, dewormer and 30 days of pet health insurance.
Birch is …
– a bit timid and shy at first after being dumped, but extremely loving after he warms up!
– good with other dogs, seems to do fine with cats, but meet-and-greets with other animals is a must!
– neutered.
– up-to-date on his vaccinations.
