Meet Dover (the puppy formerly known as Hank), an adorably bouncy one year-old Great Dane/Hound/Pit Bull mix available for adoption at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter! This cutie was born in February of 2018 and first surrendered to the shelter because of being too playful with his two year-old human brother. He was adopted in June of last year and renamed Dover, but his new family found themselves without the time he deserved after having newborn twins so he was just brought back to the shelter. Dover isn’t quite 100% housebroken due to his previous home life, but he knows how to sit and is perfectly happy being loved and snuggled. Dover has already had his puppy booster and wormer, but once he’s adopted his mandatory neuter and rabies vaccination will be scheduled. Don’t you want to give this big lovable boy his forever home and get happy dog kisses in return? Anyone interested in Dover, please check the link above for hours of operation and adoption requirements (meet and greets are a must!). Once your application has been approved, you get to take Dover home that day! Any additional questions, please email Chris Browder at cbrowder@cityofshelbyvillein.com or call at (317) 392-5127.
Dover is …
– a happy boy with lots of puppy still in him.
– smart and knows how to sit, but will need someone to take the time to work with him on manners and housetraining.
– wonderful with children, but he will need to meet any future canine siblings before going to his new home.
– microchipped.
– FREE to his loving, forever home!
