Meet Millie! *UPDATE: ADOPTED!!!*

Meet Millie, a beautiful one year-old tiger and white domestic shorthair residing at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter! She was one of nine cats surrendered to the shelter a couple of weeks ago by her owner and she absolutely loves attention and being held. She didn’t have a name when she arrived at the shelter, but she’s learning quickly and is starting to respond with a “meow” when she hears it! Her adoption fee is $30 and it covers her spay surgery, rabies/booster vaccinations, and wormer. Anyone interested in Millie, please check the link above for hours of operation and adoption requirements (meet and greets are a must!). Once your application has been approved, you get to take Millie home that day!  Any additional questions, please email Chris Browder at cbrowder@cityofshelbyvillein.com or call at (317) 392-5127.

Millie is …
– very friendly and loves attention and being cuddled.
– good with children and other cats.
– litter-box trained.

The Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter is also the amazing place that saved Justice, the poor dog found abused, burned and abandoned in Shelby County back in November of 2018. If you would like to follow Justice’s amazing journey or find ways to help, here’s the link for the shelter’s Facebook page. (Warning: Some images of Justice are graphic and upsetting.)
