Meet Jinx! *UPDATE: ADOPTED!!!*

Meet Jinx, a not-quite one year-old black cat available for adoption at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter! He was picked up as a stray, no collar or microchip, but immediately made friends with his rescuers and soon with the other cats at the shelter, especially Comet (see second photo). He’s very sweet, loves to stretch out on the floor and play and adores everyone he meets. Would you like to give Jinx (and maybe his buddy, Comet) a forever home? He’s already had his kitty booster and wormer and his adoption fee is $30, which covers his neuter surgery and rabies vaccination through the shelter’s transport partner, Pets Alive. Anyone interested in Jinx (and/or Comet), please check the link above for hours of operation and adoption requirements (meet and greets are a must!). Once your application has been approved, you get to take Jinx home that day!  Any additional questions, please email Chris Browder at cbrowder@cityofshelbyvillein.com or call at (317) 392-5127.

Jinx is …
– extremely friendly and would love to be adopted as an inside cat with his buddy, Comet.
– good with children and other cats.
– litter-box trained.

The Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter is also the amazing place that saved Justice, the poor dog found abused, burned and abandoned in Shelby County back in November of 2018. If you would like to follow Justice’s amazing journey or find ways to help, here’s the link for the shelter’s Facebook page. (Warning: Some images of Justice are graphic and upsetting.)
