Meet Leo, a handsome tiger cat available for adoption at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter! Look at those gorgeous eyes and beautiful coat … you just want to luxuriate in kitty snuggles with this sweet boy! He was dumped on a kindly senior citizen’s property (where many cats in Shelby County are unfortunately being dumped) and brought in to the shelter with his friend, Ava. Leo is super chill, loves lounging around and is an absolute foodie. You have food? He’s going to be your new best friend. Want to share that tuna fish sandwich? Leo is absolutely the cat for you! His adoption fee is $30 and it covers his neuter surgery, rabies/booster vaccinations, and wormer. Anyone interested in Leo, please check the link above for hours of operation and adoption requirements (meet and greets are a must!). Once your application has been approved, you get to take Leo home that day! Any additional questions, please email Chris Browder at cbrowder@cityofshelbyvillein.com or call at (317) 392-5127.

The Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter is also the amazing place that saved Justice, the poor dog found abused, burned and abandoned in Shelby County back in November of 2018. If you would like to follow Justice’s amazing journey or find ways to help, here’s the link for the shelter’s Facebook page. (Warning: Some images of Justice are graphic and upsetting.)
