Meet Blanco, an independent four year-old domestic shorthair cat available at the Johnson County Animal Shelter! Blanco is a bit of a shy boy who needs time and patience to warm up, but he does enjoy gentle petting and ear scratches once he’s comfortable. Blanco does not enjoy being held and prefers to have all four paws on the ground, so he will need a forever family that can respect his boundaries. Blanco came in with another cat and seems to enjoy the company of other kitties, but he is untested with children and other animals (though with his independent nature, he would be best in a home with older children). All adoptions are done with approved applicants by appointment only and once you fill out the adoption application, the shelter will contact you to set up an appointment and meet the pet.
