Meet Mateo, a friendly one year-old Shepherd/Labrador mix available at the Johnson County Animal Shelter! Mateo loves everyone he meets and loves to play toys with anyone willing to give him the time, though he seems to be able to bond best with men. He will need an active forever family that can keep him busy and be willing to spend time on obedience training, he’s so smart, he’ll be a quick study! He’s untested with children and other animals, though he has a wonderful temperament and seems to enjoy everyone! Are you ready to give this sweet boy his own loving, forever home? All adoptions are done with approved applicants by appointment only and once you fill out the adoption application, the shelter will contact you to set up an appointment and meet the pet. Mateo’s adoption fee is $150, which covers his vaccinations, neuter surgery and microchip registration.
