Meet Maya, a playful seven month-old Patterdale Terrier/Fell Terrier mix available at the Johnson County Animal Shelter! Maya was surrendered to the shelter because her owners were being evicted from their home, so she’s there through no fault of her own. Maya was very nervous when she first came to the shelter and it takes her time to warm up, but once she likes you she’s like Velcro and wants to be with you all the time! Maya loves to play with toys and will need an active forever family that can keep up with her puppy energy and devote the time to training (house- AND obedience). All adoptions are done with approved applicants by appointment only and once you fill out the adoption application, the shelter will contact you to set up an appointment and meet the pet. Maya’s adoption fee is $150, which covers her vaccinations, spay surgery and microchip registration.
