Meet Remington, a young-at-heart 10 year-old Heeler mix available for adoption at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter! Remington (or Remi, for short) was surrendered by his owner in July of 2021 when his owner moved and this sweet boy needed some basic vetting. Remi was blessed to be chosen for the amazing Vet Tech program and came back to the shelter turnkey-ready and his adoption fee has been waived to his new forever home. Remi’s previous owner stated that he does NOT like black dogs and is not a good fit for a home with children. He has never been around cats and has trouble with accidents if left alone for long periods of time, though does well for shorter durations. Age is truly just a number for this playful boy … at 10 years old, he still has so much puppy left to share with a lucky family! Are you the loving, forever home that can provide stability and comfort to this handsome boy for his golden years? Anyone interested in Remington, feel free to stop by any weekday between the hours of 10:30 AM and 4:30 PM and please check the link above for adoption requirements. Once your application has been approved, you get to take Remington home that day! Any additional questions, please email Chris Browder at cbrowder@cityofshelbyvillein.com or call at (317) 392-5127.
