Meet Bandit & Rascal!

Meet Bandit and Rascal, an adorable bonded pair of pot-bellied pigs available for adoption at Oinking Acres Farm Rescue & Sanctuary! These sweet boys were rescued from a hoarding situation last year, so they have been through a lot and MUST be adopted together! Bandit is the outgoing one of the pair and is very personable and chatty (who doesn’t love a chatty pig?) and is approximately four or five years old. One year-old Rascal is much more shy and it takes him longer to warm up to people, but if you give him treats (he loves animal crackers and strawberries!), he will love you forever! Pot-bellied pigs are similar to dogs in the sense that they can be house-trained, leash-trained and can learn tricks, but they’re also very stubborn and sensitive. The average lifespan of a pot-bellied pig is anywhere from 12 to 20 years and if you put in the time and love with your little oinker, you’ll have the undying love and loyalty of your pig. Bandit and Rascal are neutered and both are microchipped and more than ready to find their forever home. If you’re interested in a snorting good time and would like to adopt Bandit and Rascal, please fill out an adoption application online. Their adoption fee is $275, though if you’re out of state it costs an additional $100 per pig and your pigs must have a health certificate (Oinking Acres takes their pigs to Purdue Large Animal Hospital to have this done and receive the document).

Bandit & Rascal are …
– both very sweet, though Bandit is the outgoing one of the pair (and quite chatty) and Rascal is much more shy and takes time to warm up.
– a bonded pair that MUST be adopted together!
– neutered.
– microchipped.

I’ve included a link on keeping pot-bellied pigs as pets … please consider adopting a pig, they’re wonderful animals!
