Meet Dede, a quiet and sweet three year-old mixed breed available for adoption at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter! Dede was the third dog relinquished to the shelter in 2022 because her former owner was unable to continue caring for her, but she was one of the lucky pups chosen for the amazing Vet Tech program. The staff commented that she was “the sweetest” and would make someone an amazing forever friend. Now that she’s back at the shelter from Vet Tech, she’s turnkey-ready after having been spayed, fully vetted, microchipped through AVID and is now current on flea preventative. Her previous owner mentioned that she’s wonderful with people of all ages, but Dede doesn’t care for cats or other dogs and would be best as the only pet in the home. This girl is so ready to share her 74 pounds of love with a lucky family … are you her forever home? Anyone interested in Dede, feel free to stop by the shelter any weekday between the hours of 10:30 AM and 4:30 PM and please check the link above for adoption requirements (due to her breed, you MUST own your own home!). Once your application has been approved, you get to take Dede home that day! Any additional questions, please email Chris Browder at cbrowder@cityofshelbyvillein.com or call at (317) 392-5127.
