Meet Ivory! *UPDATE: ADOPTED!!!*

Meet Ivory, a playful three year-old Labrador Retriever/Greyhound mix available for adoption at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter! Ivory was found as a stray on Valentine’s Day and was scanned for a microchip, but it was discovered she did not have one. She has been a joy to the shelter staff, always alert and energetic, and when she’s been allowed to roam loose she is very trustworthy and respectful. Ivory already knows the command for “sit” and with her athletic and attentive behavior, she would be a great candidate for more training! Will you be this sweet girl’s forever valentine? Ivory’s $95 adoption fee will cover her spaying, vaccinations and Home Again microchip and registration. If it is determined that Ivory has already been spayed, a large portion of your adoption fee will be reimbursed. Anyone interested in Ivory, feel free to stop by any weekday between the hours of 10:30 AM and 4:30 PM and please check the link above for adoption requirements (if you have other dogs in the home, a meet-and-greet is a must!). Once your application has been approved, you get to take Ivory home that day! Any additional questions, please email Chris Browder at or call at (317) 392-5127.

Ivory is …
– a playful and energetic girl who knows the command for “sit” and has the potential to be a great training buddy!
– good with children and possibly with other dogs, but a meet-and-greet with other dogs in the home is strongly encouraged.
– current on her parvo booster, deworming and flea/tick medications.
