Meet Zooey Deschanel, a beautiful almost-two year-old orange-red tabby cat available for adoption through the Hancock County Humane Society! Poor Zooey came from a really tough situation and, once at the shelter, the volunteers had to teach her how receive affection and play with toys. Luckily, she turned out to be a quick learner and now she isn’t the least bit shy about begging for attention, butting your hand if you dare to stop petting her! She does well with the other cats at the shelter and would do best with one or two other quiet and calm kitties in the home, but no small children. Are you the purrfect home for this well-deserving girl? Shelter hours are by appointment only on Saturdays and the shelter is closed on holidays.
