Meet Missy, a beautiful eight year-old orange tabby cat available for adoption at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter! Missy was originally adopted from the shelter back in 2013 and is back through no fault of her own! Unfortunately, her owner is now in the hospital due to some serious health issues and the family felt it was in Missy’s best interest to be re-homed, so this sweet girl is looking for a new forever home. Her most favorite possession is her carpet square and, while she’s not shy or scared, she adores curling up underneath it for some peace and quiet! Missy is an obedient girl who comes when she’s called and she’s also quite tidy with her litter-box. She’s up-to-date on her kitty boosters, wormer and flea preventative and she’s free to her future forever home! Can you be the forever family where Missy can be a spoiled, indoors girl for the rest of her life? Anyone interested in Missy, please check the link above for hours of operation and adoption requirements (meet and greets are a must, especially if there are other pets in the home!). Once your application has been approved, you get to take Missy home that day! Any additional questions, please email Chris Browder at cbrowder@cityofshelbyville.com or call at (317) 392-5127.
