Meet Chopper! *UPDATE: ADOPTED!!!*

Meet Chopper, a spirited orange and white tabby cat available for adoption at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter! Chopper was picked up as a stray in rough shape and it’s believed that he was a community cat due to his ear-tipping (he’s also known as Chop-Ear for obvious reasons!). Chopper was missing fur when he was brought into the shelter and, although in much better shape now he hasn’t lost his feisty street-cat ‘tude! Used to being independent, Chopper is a bit of a loner with quite the personality, but he does enjoy attention and affection … on his terms. Chopper is missing a piece of his ear, so are you the forever family missing a piece of your heart that could be filled by this sassy boy? Anyone interested in Chopper, please check the link above for hours of operation and adoption requirements (meet and greets are a must, especially if there are other pets in the home!). Once your application has been approved, you get to take Chopper home that day! Any additional questions, please email Chris Browder at cbrowder@cityofshelbyville.com or call at (317) 392-5127.

Chopper is …
– a feisty boy who enjoys attention on his own terms after living an independent life as a community cat.
– untested with children, dogs and other cats, but, with his feisty attitude, meet-and-greets are a must!
– litter-box trained.
– neutered.
– microchipped.
– up-to-date on his boosters, wormer and flea preventative.
– FREE to his loving, forever home!
