Meet Charlie, a happy-go-lucky eight year-old Pit Bull mix available for adoption at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter! The shelter first met Charlie back in 2013 when he was a one year-old youngster that had been left abandoned by his first owner. He was quickly adopted, but was unfortunately just brought back to the shelter when his family was hit with a financial crisis and they were unable to keep him (which was absolutely the right thing to do … the shelter wants their animals back if it doesn’t work!). Charlie is best with older children, gets along well with cats and knows how to sit and shake on command (plus, he LOVES to snuggle in bed with his people!). Anyone interested in Charlie, please check the link above for hours of operation and adoption requirements (meet and greets are a must and due to his breed you MUST own your own home!). Once your application has been approved, you get to take Charlie home that day! Any additional questions, please email Chris Browder at cbrowder@cityofshelbyvillein.com or call at (317) 392-5127.
