Meet Lola! *UPDATE: ADOPTED!!!*

Meet Lola, a sweet and friendly four year-old Pit Bull mix available for adoption at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter! Poor Lola was surrendered in early March due to her owner becoming homeless and came in malnourished and with a severe skin condition. Fast forward three months and after a vacation at Vet Tech she’s a much healthier and happier girl who had a complete blood panel drawn and is now spayed, microchipped through AVID, negative for heartworm, fully vaccinated and wormed. Miss Lola is great with children and loves to play, but even though she was previously housed with two senior dogs, it’s been discovered through unsuccessful meet-and-greets that Lola would be best as the only pet in the home. Anyone interested in Lola, please check the link above for hours of operation and adoption requirements (meet and greets are a must and due to her breed you MUST own your own home!). Once your application has been approved, you get to take Lola home that day!  Any additional questions, please email Chris Browder at cbrowder@cityofshelbyvillein.com or call at (317) 392-5127.

Lola is …
– a very smart and playful four year-old that would really benefit from a fenced-in yard and a forever family with the time to train her.
– good with children, but must be the only pet in the home!
– housebroken.
– spayed.
– microchipped.
– up-to-date on her vaccinations, wormed and heartworm negative.
– FREE to her loving, forever home!
