Meet Jazzie, a tenderhearted four year-old Boxer/Pit Bull mix available for adoption at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter! Poor Jazzie (along with two other dogs) was brought to the shelter by animal control after a call came in that the owner was using a gun and shooting at her dogs. The owner (I use that term loosely because she obviously doesn’t deserve to have these dogs in her life) was taken to the hospital for injuries and, upon her release, still refused to sign over her dogs. Luckily, enough time had passed that the dogs became the property of the shelter and they can finally find forever homes where they are truly cherished and valued as a member of the family. Jazzie is a sweet girl that loves to take walks and spend time with kind people, but it’s believed that it would be best for her to be the only pet in the home. Are you the forever home that this sad-eyed girl so desperately wants and deserves? Jazzie’s adoption fee is $95, which covers her mandatory spay surgery, rabies/booster vaccinations, wormer, Home Again microchip and registration. (If it’s discovered that Jazzie is already spayed, that portion of the adoption fee will be happily refunded … the shelter is currently unsure if she’s fixed.) Anyone interested in Jazzie, please check the link above for hours of operation and adoption requirements (meet and greets are a must!). Once your application has been approved, you get to take Jazzie home that day! Any additional questions, please email Chris Browder at firstname.lastname@example.org or call at (317) 392-5127.
Jazzie is …
– a very sweet girl who loves taking walks and being with people who are actually kind (especially after what she has suffered at the hands of her previous owner).
– good with children, but best as the only pet in the home.
– possibly housebroken and/or spayed, but this is currently unknown.
