Meet Diamond, a happy and playful five year-old Pit Bull available for adoption at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter! Poor Diamond (along with two other dogs) was brought to the shelter by animal control after a call came in that the owner was using a gun and shooting at her dogs. The owner (I use that term loosely because she obviously doesn’t deserve to have these dogs in her life) was taken to the hospital for injuries and, upon her release, still refused to sign over her dogs. Luckily, enough time had passed that the dogs became the property of the shelter and they can finally find forever homes where they are truly cherished and valued as a member of the family. Diamond is a sweet girl that loves treats and playing with toys, but it’s believed that it would be best for her to be the only pet in the home. Are you the forever home that needs some shine and sparkle in your life? Anyone interested in Diamond, please check the link above for hours of operation and adoption requirements (meet and greets are a must!). Once your application has been approved, you get to take Diamond home that day! Any additional questions, please email Chris Browder at cbrowder@cityofshelbyvillein.com or call at (317) 392-5127.
