Meet Axel, a happy-go-lucky one year-old Boxer/Shepherd mix available for adoption at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter! Axel was picked up as a stray and was a bit nervous when he first came to the shelter, but now he can’t contain his excitement! He’s such a puppy at heart and will need a patient owner who would be willing to work with him on obedience and his leash skills (he can get a bit jumpy when he’s excited). He already know the commands “sit” and “shake,” so he’s definitely a smart boy who is willing to learn … he just needs someone willing to take the time to teach him! He loves kids, but with his excitable nature and tendency to be a bit “mouthy” he may be a better fit in a home with older children. Are you in the mood for a bouncy boy with an infectious grin? Axel’s adoption fee is $95, which covers his mandatory neuter surgery, rabies/booster vaccinations, wormer, Home Again microchip and registration.
