Meet Tux, a dapper 10 year-old senior domestic medium hair available for adoption at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter! Tux was brought in by his owner’s son when it was determined his mother needed to go into an assisted care facility (and boooo … no pets allowed!). Tux was NOT happy to be put in a carrier to be taken to the shelter, but once inside those safe walls he quickly warmed up! He knows his name and adores affection from people, bumping your hand with his hand when he wants attention. He’s a big boy at 25 pounds and loves to be brushed and is also good with dogs and other cats! Age is just a number to Tux, who is young at heart, and he’s more than ready to spend his golden years in a loving forever home! Anyone interested in Tux, please check the link above for hours of operation and adoption requirements (meet and greets are a must, especially if you have other pets in the home!). Once your application has been approved, you get to take Tux home that day! Any additional questions, please email Chris Browder at cbrowder@cityofshelbyvillein.com or call at (317) 392-5127.
