Meet Oliver, a handsome four year-old domestic longhair available for adoption at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter! Poor Oliver has been a bit distressed since his owner relinquished him one week ago … not even the tastiest of kitty treats can get this sweet boy out of the dumps. He was brought to the shelter because his owner was moving in with her daughter and was told that Oliver had to be declawed like her own two cats (and it’s never in the best interest of the cat to have that done). The former owner didn’t want to do that to Oliver, so to keep the peace she brought him to the shelter. He’s a super sweet boy who’s more than deserving of a loving, forever home … are you his new owner? Anyone interested in Oliver, please check the link above for hours of operation and adoption requirements (meet and greets are a must, especially if you have other pets in the home!). Once your application has been approved, you get to take Oliver home that day! Any additional questions, please email Chris Browder at cbrowder@cityofshelbyvillein.com or call at (317) 392-5127.
