Meet Poppy, a beautiful one year-old muted calico available for adoption at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter! Poppy was relinquished a little more than a week ago because even though she has a litter of kittens only six weeks old, her previous owner said that she was in heat and showing aggression. She’s been nothing but a loving girl since coming to the shelter, although her yowls express her frustration, like she’s trying to talk and tell everyone her story! She prefers to be the only pet in the home, she just wants to find her own forever home where she can live a life of luxury and not worry about being a mama … are you Poppy’s forever family? Poppy’s adoption fee is $30, which covers her spay surgery, rabies/booster vaccinations and wormer.
