Meet Maggie, an adorable five or six year-old mini pig available for adoption through A Critter’s Chance Rescue! Maggie is a very dominant girl towards other pigs and must be fed separately, but when it comes to people she is super easygoing and loves to have her ears and belly scratched! When she was a younger pig she was kept inside and if her forever family puts in just a little bit of work, she would probably be a very happy girl to be back indoors. Pigs are incredibly smart and can make fantastic indoor pets! They are similar to dogs in the sense that they can be house-trained, leash-trained and can learn tricks, but they’re also very stubborn and sensitive. If you put in the time and love with your little oinker, you’ll have the undying love and loyalty of your pig. If you’re interested in giving Maggie her forever home, please contact Kelly Thomas with A Critter’s Chance rescue in Plainfield, either by phone [(765) 430-5610] or email (samboni95@gmail.com). Maggie’s adoption fee is $150 and I’ve included the link to the pig-specific adoption application.
Maggie is …
– very dominant toward other pigs, so she needs to be housed and fed separately if you have other pigs.
– very much enjoys human interaction and having her ears and belly scratched!
– worth trying indoors since she was an indoor pig when she was younger.
– not currently spayed due to being overweight, but she will be spayed once she loses the necessary weight.
