Meet Charlie! *UPDATE: ADOPTED!!!*

Meet Charlie, an adorable six month-old tricolor Beagle available for adoption at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter! Charlie was brought in originally being called a stray, but it was discovered the people who “found” this sweet pup were actually the owners wanting to surrender him. He’s a happy and friendly boy who loves people and loves going on walks (he’s already mastering great leash manners and skips right along!) and is great with children. He’s not 100% housebroken, but with a patient owner who’s willing to spend the time working with him, Charlie is an eager learner and aims to please! He was an only pet at his previous home, but he gets along well with the other shelter dogs … he’s just a happy-go-lucky boy who’s more than ready for his forever home. Are you Charlie’s forever family? Charlie’s adoption fee is $95, which covers his neuter surgery, rabies/booster vaccinations, wormer, Home Again microchip and registration. Anyone interested in Charlie, please check the link above for hours of operation and adoption requirements (meet and greets are a must!). Once your application has been approved, you get to take Charlie home that day!  Any additional questions, please email Chris Browder at cbrowder@cityofshelbyvillein.com or call at (317) 392-5127.

Charlie is …
– a happy and energetic boy who’s looking for a forever family willing to work with him on leash manners and housebreaking.
– great with children and other dogs!

UPDATE: Charlie is now with Creekside Animal Rescue in Roachdale. For more information please email creeksiderescue@gmail.com or call (317) 946-1316.
