Meet Mossy Oak! *UPDATE: ADOPTED!!!*

Meet Mossy Oak, a handsome two year-old Lab/Boxer mix available for adoption at the Parke-Vermillion County Humane Society! He was brought in to the shelter with his brother in December of 2017 and both were adopted to separate homes within days of each other the following March. However, Mossy Oak was brought back after biting someone who was chasing him with a shovel … can you really blame him? He’s shown no signs of aggression since being back at the shelter and passed his Certified Behavior Assessment with flying colors … Mossy Oak is more than ready to be someone’s best friend! This boy also knows how to soar (as in over fences), so he needs to go home with a fence six feet or higher OR needs to be put on a lunge lead with a strong collar when outside. He’s a total sweetheart and loves giving doggie kisses and snuggles to his people, but he would do best in a home with children 10 or older. He also needs to be an only pet (or with a dog similar in size), but with both kids and dogs meet and greets are an absolute MUST! If you’re interested in Mossy Oak, please check the PVCHS website for hours of operation and to fill out an adoption application. When you’ve completed your application, please email it to pvchs@joink.com. Mossy Oak’s adoption fee is $120.
