Meet Ripley! *UPDATE: ADOPTED!!!*

Meet Ripley, an adorable three month-old pot-bellied pig available for adoption through A Critter’s Chance! Not a dog or cat person, but wanting a pet? Ripley is the pig for you! He needs a patient owner who’s willing to work with him on behavior and manners, but pigs are incredibly smart and can make fantastic indoor pets. They are similar to dogs in the sense that they can be house-trained, leash-trained and can learn tricks, but they’re also very stubborn and sensitive. The average lifespan of a pot-bellied pig is anywhere from 12 to 20 years and if you put in the time and love with your little oinker, you’ll have the undying love and loyalty of your pig. If you’re interested in giving Ripley his forever home, please contact Kelly Thomas with A Critter’s Chance rescue in Plainfield, either by phone [(765) 430-5610] or email (samboni95@gmail.com). Ripley’s adoption fee is $150 and I’ve included the link to the pig-specific adoption application.

Ripley is …
– a little shy at first, but warms up quickly and is very laid-back.
– litter-box trained.
– neutered.
– microchipped.

I’ve included a link on keeping pot-bellied pigs as pets … please consider adopting a pig, they’re wonderful animals! Feel free to also check out my feature on this rescue, it’s an amazing place to find a forever friend!
