Meet Patches, a sweet one year-old American Pit Bull Terrier mix available at the Johnson County Animal Shelter! Patches was surrendered to the shelter because he didn’t get along with the two older dogs in the home and wouldn’t respect their boundaries. Patches did do well with the older children in the home (nine and up) and the family cats, but he is untested with other animals. His previous owners also stated that Patches loves car rides, playing fetch, running, toys and long walks … sounds like a perfect companion for an active forever family! All adoptions are done with approved applicants by appointment only and once you fill out the adoption application, the shelter will contact you to set up an appointment and meet the pet. Patches’s adoption fee is $150, which covers his vaccinations, neuter surgery and microchip registration.
