Meet Maggie, a playful seven year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix available at the Johnson County Animal Shelter! Maggie is a very happy and curious dog that would love to snuggle in your lap and enjoy as much love as you can possibly give! This active girl was surrendered by her former owners because she did not do well with their small children, so her new forever home will need to either be child-free or have children 13 years old or older. Maggie also does not get along well with other dogs (she wants all the love for herself), but her former owners said that she does well with cats. This happy-go-lucky ball of energy loves to play fetch and enjoys meeting new people and is a huge fan of booty scratches and treats! Are you the forever home that this sweet girl deserves? All adoptions are done with approved applicants by appointment only and once you fill out the adoption application, the shelter will contact you to set up an appointment and meet the pet. Maggie’s adoption fee is $150, which covers her vaccinations, spay surgery and microchip registration.
