Meet Goose, a sweet five-and-a-half year-old orange tabby cat available for adoption through the Hancock County Humane Society! Goose was diagnosed with FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), but is doing very well and is a sweet and friendly boy. Testing positive for FIV does NOT mean that a cat has feline AIDS, but it does make the cat more susceptible to secondary infections. Goose is not on a daily medication to treat his FIV, but because he has an immunodeficiency he would need any secondary infections treated as normal. Is Goose your forever wingman? Shelter hours are by appointment only on Saturdays and the shelter is closed on holidays. Two shelter visits are also required before the adoption can be completed and adoption fees vary based on age of cat, age of adopter, etc., so please click the link above for more information.
