Meet Rudy! *UPDATE: ADOPTED!!!*

Meet Rudy, a happy six year-old Chihuahua mix available for adoption through Mended Hearts Rescue! Rudy is such a friendly boy that loves people and takes his job as his foster family’s security officer very seriously. He loves to nap by a sunny window and bark when he sees anything interesting outside, but if told to stop he’s a very good listener! (Due to his barking, however, apartment living might not be the best situation for him.) Rudy loves other dogs and likes to roughhouse with his foster family, so he would greatly enjoy another doggy friend and would benefit from a forever family that has someone at home most of the time (remote worker, retiree, stay-at-home parent, etc.). Rudy also has a sleep startle reflex and can be grumpy if startled awake, so his foster family has come up with a way to gently wake him. Because of Rudy’s sleep disorder, he would do best in a home with children over the age of 10, though families with children over the age of five would still be considered. Come meet this happy and friendly boy and gift him the loving, forever home that he so deserves! If you’re interested in meeting Rudy, please contact Mended Hearts Rescue on their website at http://www.mhrindy.org/adoption-inquiry. Rudy’s adoption fee is $300.

Rudy is …
– playful, sweet and a great security officer (though with his barking, apartment life may not be the best fit).
– good with other dogs, but best in a home with children over the age of 10 (though families with children over the age of five would still be considered).
– housebroken.
– neutered.
– microchipped.
– up-to-date on his vaccinations.

*Please check out fellow Mended Hearts hopeful adoptee, Kalani … she has been with the rescue for a long time and also deserves a loving, forever home!*
