Meet Monkey, Sven & Violet! *UPDATE: SANCTUARY*

Meet Monkey, Sven and Violet, a sweet bonded trio of eight year-old pot-bellied pigs available for adoption at Oinking Acres Farm Rescue & Sanctuary! These three piggies were rescued from an Illinois animal shelter and are lucky to consider themselves current residents at Oinking Acres, but all three want and deserve a loving forever home! All three pigs are extremely sweet and friendly and are currently outdoor pigs (and need to stay outdoors) and would make great companions for a lucky family … three’s company, not a crowd! However, because these three are bonded, they MUST be adopted together! Pot-bellied pigs are similar to dogs in the sense that they can be house-trained, leash-trained and can learn tricks, but they’re also very stubborn and sensitive. The average lifespan of a pot-bellied pig is anywhere from 12 to 20 years and if you put in the time and love with your little oinker, you’ll have the undying love and loyalty of your pig. Monkey and Sven are neutered and Violet is spayed and all are microchipped and more than ready to find their forever home. If you’re interested in a snorting good time and would like to adopt Monkey, Sven and Violet, please fill out an adoption application online. Their adoption fee is $425, though if you’re out of state it costs an additional $100 per pig and your pigs must have a health certificate (Oinking Acres takes their pigs to Purdue Large Animal Hospital to have this done and receive the document).

Monkey, Sven & Violet are …
– extremely sweet, friendly and well-behaved.
– a bonded trio that MUST be adopted together!
– currently outdoor pigs and need to remain outdoor pigs.
– neutered, neutered and spayed (respectively).
– microchipped.

I’ve included a link on keeping pot-bellied pigs as pets … please consider adopting a pig, they’re wonderful animals!
