Meet Lucky! *UPDATE: ADOPTED!!!*

Meet Lucky, an adorable four year-old pot-bellied pig available for adoption at Oinking Acres Farm Rescue & Sanctuary! Poor Lucky was rescued from a tragic hoarding situation in Michigan as a group of 15 pigs, but it hasn’t taken away his sweetness and trusting heart. Oinking Acres has been led to believe that Lucky was an indoor pig and has been housebroken (but it’s hard to trust the word of people who were supposed to care for their pets and neglected them). Regardless, Lucky would make a fantastic indoor pig with a short refresher course in proper house behavior! Pot-bellied pigs are similar to dogs in the sense that they can be house-trained, leash-trained and can learn tricks, but they’re also very stubborn and sensitive. The average lifespan of a pot-bellied pig is anywhere from 12 to 20 years and if you put in the time and love with your little oinker, you’ll have the undying love and loyalty of your pig. Lucky is neutered, microchipped and is more than ready to find his forever home. If you’re interested in a snorting good time and would like to adopt Lucky, please fill out an adoption application online. His adoption fee is $150, though if you’re out of state it costs an additional $100 and your pig must have a health certificate (Oinking Acres takes their pigs to Purdue Large Animal Hospital to have this done and receive the document).

Lucky is ….
– very sweet and friendly!
– housetrained.
– neutered.
– microchipped.
