Meet Neo & Boomer! *UPDATE: ADOPTED!!!*

Neo (left) & Boomer (right)

Meet Neo and Boomer, a bonded pair of male guinea pigs available for adoption through
NWI Chinchilla Rescue! These adorable boys were brought to the rescue when their family’s allergies got out of control and they just couldn’t take the sneezing anymore. Neo is a black, white and cream one year-old American Crested and Boomer is a lilac and white one-and-a-half year-old American. These boys love love LOVE veggies and hay (isn’t the saying that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach?) and are most likely to come out and investigate if they smell food! Neo and Boomer are typical guinea pigs in that they’re not big fans of being caught, but once you get ahold of them, they enjoy being handled and petted. Neo and Boomer will come with two pounds of Oxbow Cavy Cuisine and a printed out version of the guinea pig care packet. (NWI Chinchilla Rescue also has additional supplies for sale, such as Oxbow guinea pig food, cages, food, food bowls, water bottles, hidey houses, and more.) Regardless of past guinea pig experience, all potential homes will be asked to read their guinea pig care packet and fill out their adoption application/guinea pig questionnaire. No guinea pig will go to a new home without an adoption application being filled out – NO EXCEPTIONS. Neo and Boomer’s adoption fee is $40 and you must come to them for the adoption, they cannot be shipped (NWI Chinchillas is in Hammond, Indiana).

Neo & Boomer are …
– a bonded pair that MUST be adopted together.
– very sweet boys who enjoy being petted and eating their hay and veggies!

*Note: The adoption link above also has a lot of great information about guinea pigs, who can live anywhere from four to eight years. Adopting an animal is a lifelong commitment, so make sure you do plenty of research before adopting your first guinea pig … there’s a lot to learn!*
